Daking took his famous analog EQ and adapted it for the Tonelux console format. The DakingPlus Tonelux EQ has the same number of frequencies as the famous Daking Mic-Pre/EQ and uses the same classic A-Range design. The design has been adapted for digital control and uses a unique single rotary encoder for adjustments. This leaves the faceplate uncluttered and easy to read the EQ settings. The user simply presses and holds the encoder push switch while turning the encoder to select a band, then after releasing the push switch the user will rotate the encoder to adjust the parameter that is selected. The current settings are maintained in non-volatile memory and will be remembered after powering down. The EQ has four bands each with five different frequencies. The top and bottom bands are shelving with the middle bands peaking. A bypass switch is supplied with an indicator LED to show the current bypass condition. The bypass is a hard wire relay bypass which will bypass the entire EQ with no active circuits in the path. The individual sections are automatically bypassed when the gain of that band is set for unity just like the individual “out” switch of the Daking Mic-Pre/EQ. The DakingPlus Tonelux EQ is a great addition to any Tonelux rack to augment the innovative Tonelux parametric EQ.

The legacy Daking products remain unchanged. All of the new DakingPlus products comply with EU ratings for Restriction on Hazardous Substances and Lead-Free Components (RoHS/Pb-Free).

I am very pleased w/ the EQ modules. They are solidly built, sturdy and intergrate easily in the Tonelux console.

More important the sound. In no sense are they bland or boring. They add color, but the right amount. The highs are not harsh and the lows are not rumbly. The set up allows precise control, the abilty to recall and link stereo mixes.

I have used them on the mix bus ... to add some sparke and dig out some mud. They have done their job there without being too instrusive.
